Professor Özge Çelik was born in Istanbul in 1979. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Istanbul University and her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at Marmara University. She completed her doctoral studies at Istanbul University’s Department of Biology in 2010, receiving her PhD. Engaged in scientific research in the field of biotechnology, she founded TRD Biotek Biotechnology Ltd in 2016 as part of the TÜBİTAK 1512 Young Entrepreneur Support Programme.
Awarded the title of Professor in 2019, Özge Çelik is now a faculty member in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul Kültür University. She has over 50 publications in reputable journals in the fields of plant and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
Prof. Dr. Özge Çelik completed the ‘Nutrigenetics-Epigenetics Consulting’ training programme at the Nutrigenomics Institute in Spain in 2020. In 2022, she completed Gedik University’s Wellbeing Expert Training programme, taught by Wellbeing Expert and Ayurveda Trainer Ebru Şinik, earning her the title of ‘Wellbeing Expert’.
In 2023, she undertook training in Biointegrative Breath Therapy, Wellaging and Exercise Nutrition & Supplement Coaching at the Yükselen Çağ Wellbeing Academy. Also in 2023, she completed the ICF-accredited “Functional Wellness Coaching” training at the Functional Medicine Academy.
She completed the ‘Holistic Nutrition’ and ‘Advanced Nutrition’ programmes at the School of Natural Health Sciences (ICMH Member) and earned the ‘Higher International Diploma with Distinction in Nutrition’ qualification. Prof. Çelik completed the Culinary Arts programme at Anadolu University in 2023. She is currently studying for an undergraduate degree at Istanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Prof. Dr. Özge Çelik, who is married and has a son, combines her academic background, scientific approach, and multidisciplinary.
