Wellbeing Association Hatay Earthquake Zone Event

This is the text written by Wellbeing Association Supervisory Board Member Ayyüce Ökten after her visit to Hatay earthquake zone:

The event held in Antakya on 17-19 October with the contributions of Civic and Turkishwin under the title ‘What’s Next?’ was a meeting point for volunteer civil entrepreneurs who want to contribute to the revival and transformation of Hatay after the earthquake.

As Wellbeing Association, we were invited to this valuable organisation and I made a ‘Stress Management and Breathing’ presentation to the participants on behalf of our Association.

Antakya is a district of our country, which was the last to voluntarily join our motherland, which has hosted different nations and cultures for centuries, where history and culture are blended, where people are not distinguished according to their beliefs and sects, which carries the weight and healing of ancient wisdom in every corner, and which sets a very good example for my country.

I was very happy to explain to this group of tired but constructive, hopeful and hopeful people, who have endured a very painful and painful process after a great disaster, who are trying to find a way to support and help each other, how they can take their stress management into their own hands with simple daily routines and breathing exercises, and how they can contribute to their well-being by allocating only 10 minutes a day. And I must admit that it was the most valuable group I have ever taught.

I wish that  Antakya, which has a place in my heart and which I left healed, will recover and heal as soon as possible by taking strength from its roots and the beautiful people it harbours.
