Didem Şinik Arıkan, who started her career at Saint Joseph High School after graduating from Marmara University, Department of Communication and Public Relations, served as Public Relations Manager and Editor of the bi-monthly SJ Magazine.

Didem Şinik Arıkan, was a senior consultant in the senior management communications team responsible for long-term and national crisis communications strategies at an Ankara-based company that consults with T.R. Ministry of Health and T.R. Ministry of National Education. Şinik Arıkan worked as Customer Relations Director at Bozell Poyraz Advertising Agency between 1994 and 2002. Prior to this, she spent three years managing international and national accounts at various advertising agencies.

Şinik Arıkan led the external communications agenda for PepsiCo Turkey, where she joined in 2006 and worked for 16 years. She led the company’s communications function, including internal and external communications, CSR projects and brand PR strategy. Didem Şinik Arıkan, who has more than 30 years of experience in media relations, internal and external communications, reputation strategies, crisis, social and digital communications, serves as Global Communications Director at Getir.

Şinik Arıkan, a two-term board member of the Corporate Communication Association (KİD) and a mentor in the Million Women Mentoring Programme, has two daughters, three dogs and a cat.
